The equipment can ensure fully-automated work of heating systems, exchanger plants, cooling and air conditioning systems. The operation of the STEP-TV equipment will avoid a negative impact of air and gases on heating systems. The STEP-TV product line include appliances designed for heating systems where output and volume is low (100 kW) up to large heating plants and systems of a block of flats.

Automatic maintaining of constant pressure inclusive automatic replenishing the heating system
The heating system is replenished automatically from a non-pressure vessel with a pump whenever necessary. If system pressure exceeds a value set in the controller, the water is relieved into the non-pressure vessel via a bypass valve. This feature allows for safe, trouble-free and wireless operation. In case of any leakage it will automatically close water supply into the system following certain periods, and alarm signalling occurs. The fault message can be connected to the control system of the source. In case of lower outputs, where such equipment is more simple (i.e. no pressure vessel and circulating pump supplied), the replenishing and degassing process is controlled by a control system software in set periods.
Venting and degassing throughout the operation
In the STEP-TV appliance, the process runs based on desorption, which means that air and gases are removed from the hot-water system. When the STEP-TV appliance is connected into the system, heating water flows through the system. The heating water in the pressure vessel or in the piping at the point of a pressure sensor that has the same pressure as the air in the system is closed with a valve and backflow valve. If the valve is open, the water pressure is relieved. The connection with the non-pressure vessel reduces working pressure to air pressure, which results in maximum elimination of air and gases from the heating system. The water treated this way is pumped back into the system under corresponding pressure. Remaining air and gases from the problematic parts of the piping is absorbed in the system. The degassing process is modified automatically according to circumstances in the system, and is controlled by automatically selected software.
Physical water treatment
Oxygen and other gases causing system’s air lock as well as oxygen-borne corrosion of materials and resulting damage of boilers, pumps and exchangers are removed from the circulating water. A softening flow filter, which is one of the Step TRUTNOV’s product range, can be added to the STEP-TV appliance and placed before the water outlet (see Note A).
Heating system security
The STEP-TV appliance is safeguarded against exceeding of maximum working pressure limits in compliance with ČSN 06 0830.
Operating unit
a) STEP – The STEP-TV appliance is operated by a programmable controller. The programmable controller is a microprocessor system based on the 80C552 microprocessor, and comprises operating and indicating elements according to type and size of each STEP-TV appliance.
b) Olymp – An automatic device inclusive controlling (supplied by Olymp) accompanied with storage tanks produced by Step TRUTNOV a.s. depending on the size required.
c) Reflex – An automatic device inclusive controlling (supplied by Reflex) accompanied with storage tanks produced by Step TRUTNOV a.s. depending on the size required.
