PRESSURE VESSELS WITH A BAG

EXPANSION VESSEL WITH A BAG (TN - SEV)

EXPANSION VESSEL WITH A BAG (TN - SEV)

Application:
The expansion vessels with a rubber bag are labelled as TN-SEV; they are pressure vessels serving as a part of protective systems in water systems with large amount of water in the heating system as well as a part of cooling water systems based on a thermostatic principle. Such system must include at least one pressure gauge, thermometer, and safety valve.

Functioning and basis of an expansion vessel with a bag:

  • To compensate for expansivity of the water in the system avoiding losses;
  • To keep high pressure in the water system within specified limits;
  • To ensure optimum conditions for heat distribution with no losses;
  • To ensure maximum working overpressure of 0.6 MPa / 1.0 MPa;
  • To allow a maximum system working temperature of 110°C;
  • To facilitate replacing of the rubber bag.

Technical outline
The expansion pressure vessel with a bag is a welded steel tank with the inner space divided in two parts by a rubber bag. Inside the firmly fixed rubber bag, there is a room for heating or cooling system water; the area outside the rubber bag includes compressed gas (filled with nitrogen). Compressed air or nitrogen is filled through a welded-on piece with a small valve welded to the vessel. If the gas bolster is adjusted correctly, the water system pressure is transferred to the gas bolster through the rubber bag. The expansion vessels with the bag are filled to 0.2 MPa. They are set to the corresponding working pressure when the heating system is being installed; however, minimum pressure must be 50 kPa.

The expansion vessels with the bag can be operated in heating systems with temperature up to 110 °C. The bag is designed for use in water and non-aggressive liquids.

The expansion vessels have environmentally sound outer coating. Inner finish possible upon customer’s request.

Accessories:

  • Pressure Vessel Certificate;
  • Declaration of Conformity;
  • Mounting set for expansion vessel with a bag;
  • Pressure gauge.
