STORAGE RESERVOIRS (VAN – Cu)

The VAN-Cu storage reservoirs bring outstanding improvement of operation for any type of boiler for solid fuel such as coal, coke, wood, briquettes, wood briquettes, straw, etc., especially for wood and coal gasification boilers; and nearly absolute utilisation of the heat energy produced. They can be connected to heat pumps and solar systems as accessories. The VAN-Cu storage reservoirs can be operated under working overpressure up to 0.6 MPa and under working temperature up to 100 °C. Heat-delivery surface of the upper heating coil is 3.74 m2, while heat-delivery surface of the lower heating coil is 2.37 m2. The reservoir is designed for connection to an electric heating source as well. Special storage reservoirs can be manufactured upon customer’s request.

Heat characteristics of the heating coils:

The heating coils with the heat-delivery surface of 3.74 m2 will transmit heat capacity of 57 kW at water flow through the coil 1.44 m3/h under outlet water temperature 45° C, and under storage reservoir water temperature of 70°C. Head loss at the water flow through the coil is 8.7 kPa. The heating coils with the heat-delivery surface of 2.37 m2 will transmit heat capacity of 48 kW at water flow through the coil 1.2 m3/h under outlet water temperature 45° C, and under storage reservoir water temperature of 55 °C. Head loss at the water flow through the coil is 13.9 kPa.
